What Issues Need to Be Noted When Installing Pallet Rack System


 


1, The deformation caused by uneven distribution of the weight on the rack, the impact caused by the movement of stacker or forklift and earthquake intensity should be considered during the installation.

 

2, A safe distance should be left between goods, between goods and rack and between goods and fire pipes. Also need a space for fire sprinkler.

 

3, Select high quality steel, anti-rust and good surface treatment. Reducing the construction cost as much as possible but should keep the performance of rack.

 

4, The tolerance of dimensions should comply with relevant standards.

 

5, Comprehensive considerations should be taken to the factors such as equipment conditions, loading properties, material supply and installation conditions, reasonable selection of structural forms, structure measure, production material to achieve advanced technology, economical rationality, safe application and quality assurance.

 

6, The two ends of each beam must be equipped with locking devices when installing the pallet rack.so the beams can be fixed stably on the column to prevent from being detached by upward external force.

 

7, The footplate of column should be fixed on the concrete foundation correctly. it’s necessary to clarify if the connection between rack and ground to use embedded parts or not. To use second irrigation scheme or use chemical bolt to connect to the ground directly. The diameter of the bolt and minimum embedded size must be determined by calculation based on the actual load, seismic load and wind load. Manual loaded rack below 2.4m may not be fixed. The concrete of foundation must be continuously cured for 28 days and the uneven settlement of the foundation must meet the operation requirements.

 

8, Permanent signs which shows the maximum unit loading must be set on the rack.
